Fritsch family recipes...

Turkey Dressing…. Serves about 10-15 people

Set out 3 loafs of bread to dry-at least one full day before you want to serve the dressing. KEEP THE BREAD BAGS

Ingredients…
Take the 3 loafs and break into small pieces keep in the bread bags until you need them later
1 ½ cups of diced onions (sweet onions)
1 ½ cups of diced celery
2 large eggs
Turkey juice or chicken broth 12-20 oz
Poultry seasoning
Salt and pepper

Cooking…
Cover bottom of a skillet with oil, cook onions and celery until they are soft but not brown, slow cooking about 15-20 minutes

Mixing…
Put bread pieces into large mixing bowl
Sprinkle in a little salt and pepper
Pour cooked onion and celery mixture into bowl
Add 2 large eggs
Sprinkle in a little poultry seasoning
Pour about 12 oz of turkey juice or chicken broth into the bowl, Mix the dressing with a large spoon or your own clean hands until moist. Add more juice if you need it until dressing is moist. You don’t want it to be runny or watery

Grease a large pan with oil and pour dressing into the pan, smooth dressing to the edges of the pan. If you don’t have a large pan you can use multiple pans. Once the dressing has been put into the pan and smoothed over sprinkle a thin layer of poultry seasoning to the top. Just a dusting

Cover with Reynolds wrap and cook at 325 for about 25 minutes, remove the dressing, stir dressing and place back in the oven until the edges are golden brown, it usually take about 5 more minutes

Butterscotch Delight
1 box yellow cake mix
1 box butterscotch pudding (cook & serve) you cannot use instant pudding
2 cups milk
1 bag butterscotch chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Mix 2 cups milk and pudding together cook over medium heat until thickens, pour over dry cake mix, mix together, batter will be lumpy
Pour batter into pan that has been sprayed with Pam, sprinkle chips on top of cake
Bake 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes
You can tell when cake is done by looking at it,do not use toothpick to check.
Helpful hints-
Cake is better if you can let it set overnight before eating it. After cake cools completely ,store in covered pan.
